How Homecare Therapy Works
Initial assessments and follow up visits will be made as required. An Occupational Therapist will provide assessments for you or your loved one in the most appropriate environment selected. An Occupational Therapist will help to assist with difficult decisions to work towards improving an individual’s environment. Our Occupational Therapists will work with individuals of all ages who have disabling health conditions, whether it is physical, mental, social or emotional ailments.
What Services are Offered by an Occupational Therapist?
- Initial assessments and follow up visits
- Home safety assessments
- Cognitive assessments
- Order, train and educate clients on the use of adaptive equipment such as wheelchairs, walkers, bathroom aids, and dressing equipment in their home environment.
- Wheelchair/rollator assessments funded through ADP.
- Provide recommendations for home modifications and assist to complete funding applications if required.
