Your Next Steps is proud to be a 10 year affiliate with The Royal Lepage Shelter Foundation, one of Canada’s largest charitable foundation dedicated to assisting a wide range of women’s shelters and violence protection programs across the country.

We understand the true importance of women sticking together, supporting each other, and paving the way for change in hopes of making the world a safer place for the future generations of women. Your Next Steps embodies building a safe and happy future for family and communities, which is why partnering with the Royal Lepage Shelter Foundation was a no-brainer.
How does the Royal Lepage Shelter Foundation work?
Since the program was established in 1998, the foundation has raised over $24 million and now supports more than 200 local women’s shelters along with many national partnerships programs.
Throughout the year, Royal Lepage brokers, agents and staff help organize fundraising events in their local areas. More than 30,000 women and children go through the shelter foundation each year and every dollar raised goes directly to them. Also, many Royal Lepage agents donate a portion of their commission earnings.
How the money raised is used?
Since Royal Lepage covers all the of the administrative cost of the Shelter Foundation, which means 100% of the money raised throughout the year goes directly to meeting the individual needs of women and children in the program. Each case differs but funding raised may help in some of the following areas:
- Accommodations
- Food counseling
- Job training and placement
- Play therapy for children
- Youth education programs
Funds are also given to women and children as they transition out of the shelter and move back out on their own.
How does Your Next Steps contribute?
Over the last 10 years, the Your Next Steps co-founding team has hosted and contributed to many funding raising events in Toronto and surrounding areas. The women behind Your Next Steps believe it is their social responsibility to make annual donations to a cause that makes such a positive impact on the communities they serve and live in.
With our efforts from Your Next Steps you can feel good knowing that a portion the income we earn goes directly to a good cause – a community where our contributions can change the future of women and children in need.
